Add a custom domain

5 min readUpdated August 2026

Every public app gets a platform URL on *.stackblaze.app after deploy (assigned on first deploy). Custom hostnames are added under Settings → Domains. There is no stackblaze domains CLI.

Step by step

01

Open Custom domains

Open the app → Settings → Domains. Click Custom Domain / Add Custom Domain.

02

Create the DNS records

The dialog shows a CNAME target (the platform-managed host) and a TXT verification record. Add both at your DNS host. Do not point the apex until you have an ALIAS/ANAME or a CNAME-flattening provider.

03

Wait for verify and HTTPS

After DNS propagates, StackBlaze marks the domain verified and serves HTTPS. Platform URLs already show HTTPS included. You do not upload a certificate.

Dashboard vs app URL

You sign in at dashboard.stackblaze.cloud. Apps are reached at their *.stackblaze.app host or the custom domain you attached.
